For electricians

Electrician Network Terms

These terms apply to licensed electrical contractors who apply to, or participate in, the EV Charger Install Melbourne enquiry network.

Version 2026-08-17

1. Independent business relationship

You participate as an independent electrical contractor operating your own business. Nothing in these terms creates employment, agency, partnership or joint venture between you and EV Charger Install Melbourne, and you have no authority to bind us or to represent yourself as acting on our behalf.

2. Licences, registration and insurance

You must hold and maintain all current Victorian electrical licences and registrations required for the work you undertake, and the public liability insurance required by law and by the platform. You must provide accurate evidence on request, and promptly provide updated evidence on renewal or if any licence, registration or policy lapses, is suspended or is cancelled.

3. Compliance

You must comply with all applicable electrical, safety, consumer and privacy laws, Australian Standards, network/distributor approval requirements, and issue all certificates and documentation required for the work you perform.

4. Responsibility for your work

You are solely responsible for your own assessment, quotation, scope, pricing, installation, workmanship, compliance, site safety, and for your employees and subcontractors. Subject to applicable law, you are responsible for loss, damage, injury or claims arising from your acts or omissions, your work, or the acts or omissions of your personnel or subcontractors.

EV Charger Install Melbourne does not supervise, direct or control installation work and does not assess or certify the technical suitability of any installation.

5. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify EV Charger Install Melbourne against claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from your installation work, your negligence, property damage, personal injury, breach of law or breach of these Network Terms — except to the extent caused by EV Charger Install Melbourne's own negligence or unlawful conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Customer information and privacy

Customer details released to you are confidential. You may use them only to contact the customer about that enquiry and to provide a quotation or service in relation to it. You must not resell, on-share or market unrelated products or services using those details, and you must handle them consistently with applicable privacy law and our Privacy Policy.

Approved electricians may view the technical installation photos supplied with an enquiry (switchboard, proposed charger location and cable route) before purchasing it, so the job can be assessed accurately. Those photos remain confidential customer material: they must not be downloaded for unrelated purposes, republished, shared outside your business or used in marketing. Customer name, address and contact details are released only after a confirmed lead purchase.

7. Enquiry allocation and lead fees

Each enquiry is shared with a maximum of three approved electricians. Unlocking a customer's contact details costs $79 per enquiry (no GST is charged; the supplier is not registered for GST), paid through our payment provider before details are released. Payment is confirmed server-side; a cancelled or failed payment releases the allocation slot and unlocks nothing. Before each purchase you confirm that your registration/licence and insurance are current and that the purchase is subject to these terms.

8. Approval, suspension and changes

Participation is subject to approval and may be suspended or ended if licensing, insurance, conduct or customer-service standards are not met. We may update these terms; the version applying to an application or lead purchase is the version recorded at that time. Questions: quotes@evchargerinstallmelbourne.com.au.
